Art Journal Challenge at 2peas

Last week I posted a challenge at the "At your Leisure" board at 2 peas for an ART JOURNAL challenge...unfortunately i didn't have any players but here is the page I created.  The challenge was create any type of mixed media page with these 4 requirements :

1. the words "I will..."

2. the bubble wrap technique

3. the color white

4. a butterfly

Here is the page I created....I am just learning but LOve doing it!

Christmas Gifts

I am excited to share a photo of 6 Christmas gifts I have finished for the girls at my work.  I made these journals after finishing the first Lesson in Brave Girl Art School.  Thanks Melody Ross for the great inspiration.  I posted one of these earlier but I wanted to show a photo of all six.  I am glad they all turned out so Unique!

Early Christmas wishes to everyone ....The Christmas music will start soon at my work and I cannot wait!  I LOve Christmas, I don't give or get lots of gifts, I just love the season.  Have fun and make YOUR OWN ART!

 

Stamptoberfest 2012

I had so much fun this past weekend at the  General Stamping board at Two Peas celebrating Stamptoberfest 2012.  There are 19 challenges and lots of fun techniques! I have created several cards and one layout.  The layout was for the Let it Snow challenge...I had been wanting to use this photo for a while and this challenge was just perfect for it!  I used another sketch from Becky Flecks PageMaps .  I LOve her sketchs and they adapt so easily.

 

I also created this card using a Wax Paper Resist Technique.  It was so much fun and it is a great way to make custom papers.

Christmas Projects Started!

I have officially started Christmas Gifts!  I went to Archivers and bought Simple Stories TAKE A HIKE to make some gifts.  Each year my family takes an annual Camping trip to a different state park, and I wanted to make a small album for each of my aunts. I decided to make my parents a 12x12 album for my parents that includes photos from Klenk Camp 2012 and a trip to Higgins Lake 2012,  I am planning on Using the TAKE A HIKE paper for 1/2 and Simple Stories SUMMER FRESH for the second half.  Here is my title page! I used this page by Lisa Swift as inspiration!

Crafty Goodness!

I finished an Art Jornal page......I just love Ranger Distress Ink! I used it with the direct to paper method and then sprayed with water to make the background.

Over the weekend, I created two pages for Cassidy's scrapbook, both using the Everyday Eclectic by Echo Park.  On the first page I used a sketch from the archive on Becky Fleck's Pagemaps, this one was from January 2012.

I thought this was a cute way to create a page using all her i-pod and webcab photos that I got from her facebook acct.  On both of the pages I used free printable journal cards from Misstina.com, I found these great printables on Pinterest and they work great with lots of papers.

My second page was also a i-phone photo from this week's Homecoming, The photo didn't turn out so great but I still liked the image.  Working with the Echo Park papers is so easy because the collections work so well together. This page is based on a Starting Point from The wonderful Shimelle Laine, I wanted to use the cloud paper and I knew one of her starting points would help me use the busy paper!
